We had a great time in Villa Rossi Mattei this summer. The house and the grounds were even nicer than we expected and we felt like rock stars in the Arezzo hills! The swimming pool was always cleaned early in the morning which was very good. The gardens were all very well maintained and beautiful. The building and terraces are really great and really give you the feeling that you are king of your Tuscan castle. We are 6 families with kids and spend quit some time in the big kitchen of the apartment downstairs where we had breakfasts, brunches and even a great dinner with all Italian food from the region. We all had our private apartments where we could retire. Although there was no air conditioning in the apartments, this wasn´t a problem at all since the walls are really thick and the windows have shutters. The house was always cool. We used the patio alongside the swimming pool a lot. It doesn´t take long to walk downhill to the center of Arezzo, which is a beautiful town with a lot of soul. We drove around the beautiful Tuscan towns and visited among others Lucca, Perugia and Cortona (an absolute MUST) where we had dinner at the Teatro restaurant and then listened to an opera.
Liliana and Dante are really nice hosts and they provided excellent service. We give Villa Rossi Mattei an 8,5 on a 10 point scale!

Liliana and Dante thankyou for the pictures and such an enjoyable week at the villa.  I have just sent the pictures on to everyone who was with us.  We had a wonderful time in Italy and especially at the villa.  I think everyone enjoyed being there and understood why we came back.  You, Fabrizio and Dante were so wonderful in helping us through the week with transferring many of us from Florence, then transferring us back at the end of the week and in the pouring rain.  Fabrizio's dinners were excellent and the cooking class was fun and our dinner turned out to be very good.  Dante thanks for getting the washing machine to work, the dishwasher to work and turning on the hot water.  The tours and cooking class were interesting and fun.  Liliana, you are a pearl and your smile and good cheer warmed our stay.hope we shall all meet again because you feel like family.to you all and grazie,,

It is our second time in your villa, and me and our family and friends have enjoyed another week in pleasant Arezzo.
It is not possible to find better hosts, and we hope that we can return sometime in the future.

had a family reunion with 24 people at the villa, ages from 7 to 80. Everyone loved it. The setting is so beautiful, and there was enough room for everyone to spread out. We loved the pool area, and we all gathered there at the end of the day to relax and regroup. Liliana and Dante were wonderful hosts, and helpful with getting us to the market, calling cabs, and restaurant recommendations. Arezzo is a wonderful town, and we would certainly stay again.you can, time your stay for the monthly antiques market (first weekend of the month). It is a combination of antiques and flea market, and quite enjoyable.

had a family reunion in Tuscany at this villa, there were 33 of us with ages ranging from 19 months to 50+ years. I must say that the villa was gorgeous, the website pages does not do it justice. It has beautiful open spaces for quiet time as well as common areas to hang out, every suite is large, comfortable and very inviting. Having the pool help tremendously, it kept the kids and adults busy. Best, was the service we received from Liliana and Dante, they were always there when we needed their assistance and they always had a smile. We all had one of our most memorable vacation in Villa Nobile in Arezzo.The villa is very centrally located, the supermarket is less than 10 minutes and the main town is also 10 ti minutes away. The city is quaint and has nice piazza's, and lager cities as Florence is about hour or 2 away. Everything does close in the afternoon and on Sundays. Must visit Cortona, it is about 45 minutes from Arezzo

Proctor! Marilyn and I stayed for a week and it was wonderful! Liliana and Fabrizio make this place a joy. For my biking friends there is great road and mountain biking right out your front door. Ride in the morning and visit great historic sites like Cortona in the afternoon.
